For this bathroom design project in Montgomery County, PA, our client was looking to update their dated 1980’s master bathroom into a relaxing retreat.
The Project
We began by preparing a comprehensive set of drawings that detailed material selections, floor plan changes, electrical and plumbing requirements. Then, this information was used to gather three competing bathroom remodeling quotes. By finalizing the design before approaching contractors, the client received apples-to-apples quotes. This approach is the most effective way to secure precise and competitive quotes for a bathroom renovation, ensuring you make the best financial decision.
Throughout the construction phase, I regularly met with the contractor on-site. This way, I was able to address any field issues, relieving the client from the burden of minor decision-making. Having a dedicated point person to resolve these challenges reduces the stress of a bathroom remodeling project.
We centered the design around the timeless Carrara Marble tiles, which serve as the focal point of this luxury bathroom. To make beauty of the marble shine, we chose a calm, low-contrast color palette. We doubled the shower size and created a spa-like experience with the rain showerhead, body sprays, and hand shower. Then, we installed a dramatic chandelier to take full advantage of the vaulted ceiling. Soft blue-grey and white tones were selected for the paint and fabrics, creating an airy, peaceful environment that is truly award-worthy.
