After completing my graduate degree in Interior Architecture, I spent several years refining my skills while working for a Main Line interior design consultant. During that time, I gained extensive experience in both high-end residential design and architectural detailing. When the time came to showcase my own work, I wanted to do something special, and transforming my bedroom seemed like the perfect opportunity.
For this project, I focused on creating an elegant space by incorporating traditional wainscot molding. This type of architectural detail added both character and sophistication to the room. But it wasn’t just about the millwork. I completely overhauled the entire space, replacing everything from furniture to fabrics. One of the key challenges was blending my feminine and traditional style with my husband’s more minimalist preferences.
One of the aspects I love most about this project is its timelessness. Even though it was completed in 2013, it still feels fresh and relevant today. As an interior design consultant, one of my primary goals is to create spaces that endure. I believe in designing interiors that stand the test of time, providing value and beauty for years to come.
